The Crystal Palace, A Buffet with Character restaurant

Photos of The Crystal Palace, A Buffet with Character restaurant on Main Street, USA in the Magic Kingdom.
Located at the end of Main Street, USA near the entrance to Adventureland is the grand and Victorian-style glass structure of The Crystal Palace, A Buffet with Character.
Originally known as just The Crystal Palace (also known as Crystal Palace Restaurant), the restaurant has been a featured dining location since the Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971. From 1971 to 1996, The Crystal Palace restaurant was a cafeteria-style dining experience. In 1996, The Crystal Palace switched dining formats and became an all-you-can-eat Disney character buffet meal. The restaurant was also renamed to its current name, The Crystal Palace, A Buffet with Character.
The exterior of The Crystal Palace is a stunning collaboration of steel and glass themed to be a British conservatory from the 1800s. Looking at the structure, you know that majestic and exotic experiences are waiting inside. The adventurous spirit of the building goes hand-in-hand with its location in the theme park. While The Crystal Palace has the elegance of Main Street, USA, the conservatory itself strong hints at the spirit of adventure found immediately next door in Adventureland. Throw in the palm trees and tropical foliage, and there you go. The Crystal Palace, A Buffet with Character is a nearly perfect blend of elegance and adventure with its cornerstone location in the Magic Kingdom.
