Krusty Burger restaurant & Moe's Tavern bar
Photos of the Krusty Burger counter-service restaurant and Moe's Tavern bar in the Springfield section of World Expo in Universal Studios Florida.
In the summer of 2013, part of the World Expo section of Universal Studios Florida was converted into the fictional town of Springfield straight out of The Simpsons television show. Part of this conversion process changed the International Food and Film Festival counter-service restaurant into Fast Food Boulevard, better known as simply Krusty Burger. Why Universal chose to use the name Fast Food Boulevard is beyond me. Nobody is going to remember a restaurant name like that, especially since it has NOTHING to do with The Simpsons.
Anyway, Krusty Burger is a counter-service restaurant that offers a variety of food options sold through individual stalls, just like a food court at your local shopping mall. The dining options include: Flaming Moe's, Krusty Burger, Cletus' Chicken Shack, The Frying Dutchman, Luigi's, and also Lisa's Teahouse of Horror.
The main entrance to the counter-service restaurant is themed to Krusty Burger while the exit looks like Cletus' Chicken Shack. The main seating areas have large murals showcasing The Simpsons. One mural shows the evolution of life with the cast from The Simpsons while another mural has the town of Springfield. Overhead television monitors throughout the seating areas play clips from The Simpsons.
Attached to Krusty Burger is Moe's Tavern, a small restaurant and bar. As you would expect, the theming inside of Moe's Tavern is straight out of The Simpsons TV show, complete with a pool table and Springfield memorabilia. Inside of Moe's Tavern is one of a couple places in Springfield where you can enjoy a pint of Duff Beer, an alcoholic drink made famous by the television show.
