Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show

When Universal Studios Florida opened on June 7, 1990, The Gory, Gruesome & Grotesque Horror Make-Up Show entertained and grossed out audiences with its display of the darker side of Hollywood make-up.
The show had a blend of comedy and horror as the audience was shown a demonstration of make-up effects (and some audience scares) involving dead bodies, disembodied heads, gunshot wounds, stabbings, blood & guts, and even a performer in a lifelike ape suit. Part of the make-up show involved a participant from the audience. The conclusion of the show used the infamous teleportation pods from the 1986 remake of The Fly starring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. The host would slowly morph into a hideous monster as he was "teleported" back and forth across the stage.
Since its soft opening in May of 1990, The Gory, Gruesome & Grotesque Horror Make-Up Show would go through a bunch of small upgrades and minor changes to the show, often keeping up with the latest Hollywood monster movies. The show would be renamed to the Phantom of the Opera Horror Make-Up Show before changing to its current (and less scary) name, Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show.
If you can handle the corny jokes and love to see how some of the grossest and bloodiest effects are made in Hollywood, then definitely take the time to catch a showing of Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show.
